The Winners of the National “Best Journalistic Stories” Competition are Announced

The winners of a national journalism competition on gender equality have been announced in Ulaanbaatar. More than 100 entries were submitted by 50 participants on the topics of “My role in promoting gender-responsive journalism” and “Gender equality through my eyes”.
Entries included news programs, TV productions, investigative series’, news articles, and photojournalism. Entries were assessed on how well they responded to the brief, their journalistic quality, and how well they supported gender and development by eliminating gender stereotypes in reporting.

Mr.S.Chinzorig, Member of Parliament, Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee on Gender Equality, and Mr.Declan Magee, ADB Mongolia Resident Mission, made the opening speeches. Mrs.D.Sukhjargalmaa, Gender Consultant to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Committee on Gender Equality and other representatives attended the awards ceremony.
